Review of Year of the Dog (2007) by Ashley B — 02 Jun 2009
Quirky little gem of a film, which works wonders by endengering buckets of sympathy for the very odd, very strange, slightly off-kilter protagnist. Sweet and sedate, with lots of affection for every character, it pursues its theme of finding oneself's purpose in an unorthodox way.
And even though its theme - finding your passion and following your heart - is universal, your appreciation for this film may depend on your views on animal rights.
