The ultimate patriotic movie from Warner Bros.; James Cagney won an Oscar for his virtuoso portrayal of George M. Cohan and - although the film's jingoism might be hard to stomach for modern-day audiences, the production numbers still manage to impress.
Movie musicals don't get much better than this.
