Review of Y Tu Mamá También (2001) by Annie S — 15 Aug 2008
An excellent movie. It starts slowly with the feel of a documentary about these people's lives, but as the story progresses, the deeper meanings and underlying plot is revealed. It takes two watchings at the least to understand it all, but is definitely a favorite of mine.
Some people are turned off by the graphic nature, but in a lot of ways it adds to the character and plot of the story. It is a raw movie that allows you to see the internal motives and drives that push these people down their separate paths.
