Review of XXY (2007) by Greg T — 06 May 2008
Boring, monotone, predictable - this is everything you expect but don't want from a hermaphrodite coming-of-age story. There's the occasional kernel of interesting insight here, but it dissipates quickly in favour of stock situations and a neverending bleakness that is both highly questionable and tiresome in the extreme.
