Review of XXY (2007) by Paul D — 27 Jul 2010
Their eyes, their eyes! The whole family of protagonists have beautiful, captivating gazes. The father(Ricardo Darin), especially, has a rugged nobility to him- he just has... a 'presence'.
The landscape is also equally fascinating; I couldn't get enough of the sea, the wild rain, and the grassy hills- the human drama deployed accross the natural stage, and all that. It may simply be that I've been stuck in a city for too long.
