Review of xXx: State of the Union (2005) by Chris K — 20 Feb 2011
Its really not as bad as a lot of people claim it to be. It may be one cheesey action film but this is the kind of film you want to watch just for the fun of it. xXx State of the Union is not as good a film as its predecessor however you can tell it is more "high tech" hence as in some countries its called The Next Level.
Vin Diesel as Xander Cage might not be back as he is apparently dead. (xXx 3 he will be back!) Ice Cube suprisingly proves to be a suitable replacement. Darius Stone is a very different action hero that makes you enjoy the film.
The action scenes are quite good and I did like the ending train sequence. Although one thing I really do not understand it he constant mention of World War IV. Did the people fail history and not know that there wasn't even a III?
