Review of xXx: Return of Xander Cage (2017) by Gael C — 20 Feb 2017

XXX 3 has everything it needs to be a good dumb guilty pleasure action movie. The cast is cool but the script just has so many characters that it has trouble balancing all of them out. But with so many characters on screen trying to show how good they are, the script needed to be better. The action is a lot of fun. You can easily watch it and not be tired or bored. But one the biggest problems is that Vin Diesel comes across as too cocky with every few minutes someone or himself mentioning how awesome Xander Cage is and that he is here to stay for more movies.

Donnie Yen and Tony Jaa are a lot of fun and the other side characters do well with the script they were given, but there just wasn't enough in that script to make them as awesome as the filmmakers want them to be.

That being said... It's not a movie to be hated. Like I said before you can easily watch it and have fun.
