Review of XXX! (2011) by Deb S — 04 Oct 2010

It's so amazing that not a lot more people liked this. This is a very solid action flick with awesome stunts and some of the coolest gadgets I've seen. Sure it follows the same formula as the Bond films, but not trying to be anything like Bond due to the fact that it's meant to be a lot more extreme.

Vin Diesel of course is a great action star. Asia Argento was sexy as hell. Samuel L. Jackson was also great as well. Rob Cohen has always done his films with a lot of bang and this really delivers. With a ton of great action and great stunts.

I only have one problem with this and that some of the dialogue was a bit bad. I would have liked the dialogue a lot more if was more smart, witty, and a bit more intimidating like the Bond films. However, I liked how Samuel L. Jackson talked in the film. This isn't a great action flick and it does copy the Bond formula. Then again, it's still highly entertaining and well worth the time.

So four stars for all the wrong reasons, but yet it feels so right!
