The fact that Triple X (that's the main character by the way) is blackmailed into becoming a government spy and is highly expendable adds a certain charm to this action film that say James Bond lacks.
It isn't intelligent or witty but then, action films rarely are. What it is, is fast-paced, perfectly watchable, popcorn-chomping stuff, and that's exactly what it's going for. If you want an hour or two staring at outrageous stunts, then give it a go.
