Review of xXx (2002) by Mikhail B — 18 Mar 2012
The extreme-sports-packed xXx (2002) defies the limits of stupidity bringing the action genre to a new level of mindlessness. A special US government agency employs a reckless thug to do a secret mission in Prague (Czech Republic).
The thug played by Win Diesel is supposed to win trust among the rogue organisation employed in producing biological weapons. For two hours Win propels his perfect muscles over the screen and even finds time in his busy schedule to fall in love with a Russian intelligence officer.
Unfortunately, from time to time the script writer makes him open his mouth with yet another significant wit, while he really shouldn't, after all, everybody understands. Despite the obvious failure to gather all the components that make a movie a movie, the director succeeded to stage a series of memorable stunts.
