This movie is great for china watchers and movie fans alike. if you're not familiar with how horrible the cultural revolution was, and how far-reaching it's impact was you should really see this film.
lost innocence doesn't begin to describe xiu xiu's story, and frankly considering what a disaster the revolution was her story is one of the happier ones.
