The cold war struggle between capitalism and communism is recast as a roller disco musical in the epic 1980 film Xanadu. Robert Grrenwald shows amazing restraint in the musical numbers and even manages to show the rise of hyper-patriotism and captialism from the ashes of World War II in the number " Dancin'", which fuses a Big Band sound with modern rock.

Gene Kelly's final film was to be his finest." Andrew Uhl.
