Review of Xanadu (1980) by Philip C — 11 Nov 2008
Back to the 80s: spandex, and feathered hair! This movie is just a series of music and dance numbers set loosely around a plot. Olivia Newton-John is in her prime and is absolutely stunning (in spite of some ridiculous costumes and roller skates). Gene Kelly plays the same likable character we all love. Great singing and dancing/skating... so-so acting but who cares, it's a trip!
Useless fact: There is a link from this movie, released in 1980 to the mega Disney movie franchise 'High School Musical'; choreographer Danny Ortega.
