Review of Xanadu (1980) by Mark S — 16 Apr 2012
"Xanadu" is a silly story that's obviously the product of the disco era, with painfully-dated visual effects to match. Yet in spite of its silliness, it's enjoyable because the movie believes in itself.
Gene Kelly's charm carries his scenes, and they're easily the best in the movie. The union of ELO + ONJ is not quite as cheesy as I was led to believe!
