Review of X2 (2003) by Petros T — 29 Jun 2016
Arguably more complex than the first film, "X2" offers spectacle, twists and better visuals but is brought down by a disinterest in strong characterization. There are attempts at more personal storylines, notably that of Wolverine, but those remain peripheral and are outweighed by a plot laden with impersonal action and stilted dialogue.
It is a noteworthy continuation of the saga but still a long way from classic status.
