Review of X2 (2003) by Teejay P — 12 Nov 2012
A great sequel that manages to be bigger and better than its predecessor.
The acting is so much better as the actors seem to understand their respective characters and each manage to convey their individuality. The characters also seem to be much more endearing to the audience this second time around.
The villain of the movie, William Stryker played by the amazing Brian Cox, is a conflicted human angry at the world and at mutants in particular. He has a history with both Charles Xavier and Wolverine which adds to the intrigue. His plans are smart and he almost succeeds raising the stakes for the X-Men.
The action and special effects are amazing and the opening fight sequence at the white house will take your breath away. The best opening to an action movie ever!
Overall this movie really and truly tops X-Men in all ways. X2 manages to to do the impossible and is better than the first movie!
