Review of X2 (2003) by Greg T — 24 May 2014
Bryan Singer still can't quite balance the serious themes of politics and war with cartoonish characters and fights, but X2, while not as good as its predecessor, mostly overcomes this and it's jam-packed narrative and occasionally confusing plot with solid performances from every actor (Brian Cox as William Stryker is the stand out), well choreographed fight scenes with strong special effects, and intrigues the viewer into wanting to see more from the mutants who fight for their rights.
