Review of X+Y (2014) by Ben J — 19 Jan 2016
Excellent - refreshing, original, touching. Some wonderful and richly painted characters - though the actors for the lead aren't perfect. The Monty Python themed breakdown from a Sheldon Cooper-like whiz kid was a highlight for me, together with the unpolished scenes of everyday life in Taipei, and finally the stinging beauty of the finale.
A British film with integrity and sincerity at last :).
