Review of X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) by Mike S — 13 Apr 2014
This was interesting for showing the origin story for Hugh Jackman's Wolverine character, a mutant with rapid healing powers and who apparently stopped aging in his 30s. It also shows how the government injected the fictional metal adamantine into his skeleton to make him virtually indestructible.
Jackman clearly likes this character and puts a lot of effort, physical and mental, into his performance. But the story ultimately fell flat for me. There wasn't enough emotional depth for me to care all that much about what was going on.
