X-Men First Class is in my opinion better than the original X-Men.
This storyline of First Class is an origin story of how Professor X and Magneto met and many other characters like Mystique, Beast, Havok and more develop into what they are now. Many events in the movie reveal why things are the way they are in the present X-Men. It's a great feeling of nostalgia when you see things unfold to what they are now. I loved the witty dialogue in the movie. The conversations between Xavier and Magneto are just great to listen to because you see how close as friends they were until what happened when they went separate ways. The character development was great also. From not even able to control their powers to being able to amplify it by the end, it's just great.
Young Xavier and Erik are just cast so well. They both did amazing jobs along with Lawrence, Gonzalez, and Hoult portraying such iconic characters at their young age.
The special FX were great. The scene where Magneto lifts up the submarine was epic. The Havok's cool shockwaves and Mystique's blue skin as she changes forms are great and really awesome.
X-Men First Class is a worthy installment to the X-Men series, a worthy edition and in some cases, even better than the original.
