Review of X-Men: First Class (2011) by Logan B — 01 Jun 2014
Effective X-Men prequel takes the Marvel mythos back to their 1960s origins in a Cold War espionage romp about mutants saving the world during the Cuban Missile Crisis. The story of young Magneto as a superpowered Nazi hunter finding an uneasy alliance with a cocky Charles Xavier is riveting, but the actual "first class" of Professor X's students is a grab bag of leftover mutants not featured in the other films.
