Review of X-Men: First Class (2011) by David A — 05 Sep 2014
Really torn in two with this one. On the plus side at its core there is a good storyline telling the mostly unexplored (in movies) history of professor x and magneto. It had me actually caring about magneto's inevitable downfall.
However some of the dialogue and CGI is woeful. I know it must be hard trying to show someone reading someone else's mind but really a close up of their forehead with opaque images swirling past is awful.
What was good to see was some of xmens other characters being used rather than the same old ones.
