Review of X-Men: First Class (2011) by Timothy B — 02 Feb 2015
The only sad thing is that this film renders the 'Magneto' solo effort obsolete, and judging by the early scenes with Fassbender that film would have been something wonderful.
But then, X-Men First Class is pretty damn good, making up for two stale entries. There's a hint of early Bond to the period proceedings, and the action is on a scale that exceeds previous outings. And Kevin Bacon is on form- shame that the dubbing isn't, as Fassbender's Magneto changes from Anglicised Germanic to Irish in the final act.
