Review of X-Men: First Class (2011) by Ronnie Y — 23 Apr 2014
Michael Fassbender is a worthy predecessor to the iconic Ian McKellan as Magneto, and James McAvoy finally delivers a performance where he fully shows his charm. Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence give decent performances on characters that were much better fleshed out than their other 'class'mates.
Not as great as the first two, but not bad at all. Sure the younger characters are unmotivated, but this film is a lot more fun, enjoyable and well made than most summer films you will see.
