Review of X-Men: First Class (2011) by Javier H — 05 Jun 2014
Peculiar and extraordinarily cinematic, this prequel to the X-Men Trilogy is elegant, vengeful and destiny-keen. The chemistry between McAvoy and Fassbender is fantastic, and the 60's ambientation just improves the scene.
Honorary mention to Fassbender's young Magneto, whose portrait of a young man severely hurted by a cruel past leads him into a monster.
