Review of X-Men: First Class (2011) by Steven L — 27 May 2014
The characters as a whole are very well portrayed, and the plot is kept moving. The action sequences are excellent, but the cgi/special effects can sometimes be cheesy (banshee in particular) when compared to the dark knight series or other big super hero flicks.
Overall though, it is an excellent origins story that any X-Men fan will appreciate while still being capable of being followed by a causal viewer.
