Review of X-Men: First Class (2011) by Tvjerry — 06 Jun 2011
This prequel details how the mutant coalition got started. After Professor X and Magneto discover each other, they set about recruiting young people with special powers (some of which are pretty inane).
It starts out promisingly with compelling backstory and interesting characters, but soon barrels into predictability and noisy videogame combat. While some of the effects manage to dazzle, others are just dumb.
Overall, it's not bad, but not in any way outstanding.
