Review of X-Men: First Class (2011) by Tony — 02 Jun 2011
Insanely entertaining, largely due to the chemistry and charisma of Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy. The story is fun, energetic and fast-paced. The 60s setting is a welcome change of pace for the superhero genre, and I won't be surprised if its costumes and art direction receive Oscar attention.
It certainly would help to be familiar with the X-Men universe to fully appreciate everything, but this is pure summer fun.
