Review of X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) by Peteralexander — 09 Jun 2015
Bryan Singer returns to treat audiences to a tremendous film. X-Men: Days of Future Past presents audiences with one of the best comic book films ever made. From the stunning soundtrack, to the brilliant character development all round, to the masterfully conducted action sequences, Days of Future Past acts as the best X-Men film yet.
The interplay between the characters, particularly between James McAvoy's Professor X and Michael Fassbender's Magneto, is gripping throughout. Whilst the stakes are risen, the film never falls into the trap that many comic book films nowadays fall into, that is that the whole world is under immediate threat.
Rather, Singer creates a story that hits individuals on a personal level, creating one of the best films of 2014.
