Well let's put it this way, X-Men: Days of Future Past is the best X-Men movie released to date. The cast was phenomenal with no issue of too many characters with lack of screen time. The concept tied the recurring theme of mutant apocalypse with an original story infused with historical events.
With this story the franchise is open to a multitude of possibilities with the present timeline changed from that of the original X-Men series.
