Review of X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) by Andrew M — 31 Jan 2015
The X-Men franchise (minus the third installment in the original trilogy) succeeds where Marvel doesn't, for me at least.
Further driving that fact is Days of Future Past that offers up darker scenarios, surprisingly good cinematography for a blockbuster, and wonderful characters. Not to mention the world-building that's done by Singer and his production team. It just works.
