Review of X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) by Diyar G — 23 Apr 2016
Welcome back Bryan Singer, you made X-Men great again! X-Men: Days of Future Past is by far the best X-Men movie I've ever seen. This film had me emotionally invested with the story and characters and it was awesome!
Positives; Everyone from the previous films are of course awesome especially Wolverine who surprisingly is more subdued in this film than he previously was in the other installments. This film erases the problems of X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Their stories aren't really canon anymore so if you ever plan on binge watching all the X-Men films you can definitely skip them. The story with the sentinels was interesting and the fact they have to use time travel to prevent those events from happening was riveting!
The action of course is awesome, I was on the edge of my seat during the finale! This film brings back some nostalgia, literally they go back in time and it really handles the timeline well, cause there are scenes where the action is filmed on a crappy 70's type camera and it gives this realism to the film.
Oh and I forgot to mention that Quicksilver is absolutely awesome in this film! That scene where he has to move the bullets and take down the baddies was hilarious and awesome! By far one of the best comic book movie moments!
I can't think of a single negative, this film does everything right in my opinion! X-Men: Days of Future Past in my opinion is by far the best X-Men film I've ever seen and you definitely got to check it out if you haven't. It's only competition I can think of is X-Men 2 and this film exceeds it!
