Review of X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) by Jacob B — 01 Jun 2017
Bolstered by impresssive action, some of the most amazing visual effects within the franchise, great performances and an unforgettable Quicksilver sequence, X-Men: Days of Future Past may just be the best X-Men film to date.
Excluding Deadpool, of course. This movie's so good that it makes X2 and First Class, which were given highly positive reviews more than the first film, look like the Batman movies directed by Joel Schumacher.
Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit there, but this one is very enjoyable since cast members old and new unite with Hugh Jackman being the link that ties them all together. This fast-paced (I didn't know 2-hour-long films could do that) superhero flick may just perhaps serve as the film that holds the achievement of funniest moment during an action set piece.
Anyone who saw the film will have a good chance of knowing who I'm indirectly(?) referring to. You did good, Bryan Singer, you did good.
