Review of X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) by Chris H — 27 Sep 2016

A superhero movie with a whole lot of talking and standing around, and not in an engaging way like The Avengers. That said, the 2 Quicksilver scenes are amazing, as are the new cast members (Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, and Cyclops).

Fassbender gets some strong emotional scenes too. I really love the characters in this film despite the fact that hardly any of them have any emotional arc. The film makes me excited for the future more than I was excited in watching the movie itself--but it was still an enjoyable watch.
