Colorful, enjoyable but ordinary Western would have benefited from a stronger lead actor than McNally. Solid supporting cast with both veterans and up and coming talent of note. Alexis Smith is breathtaking.
Notice the care taken in matching her wardrobe to the rooms she occupies, a common practice in old Hollywood but especially noticeable here. The story is nothing you haven't seen before though.
