Review of Wuthering Heights (1992) by Gianna B — 21 Dec 2007
As I actually read the book a couple of years back this served as a good reminder and it does actually go along with the story of the book. most other flims that first came from books (dracula & frankenstein being prime examples) seem to shoot off in all sorts of other directions but this kept true to emily brontes version of events.
the one annoying factor for me is I can't stand ralph fiennes. I must admit this is his best performance in anything i've seen him in but it's still him in it which does my head in for some reason.
he's just annoying! no one had an outstanding performance. yeh, the book is better. this didn't recreate the atmosphere strongly enough for me that the book did.
