Review of Wuthering Heights (1992) by Danielle — 05 Jun 2008
I've read reviews on this movie that stated it wasn't true to the book...did they actually read it? Although there were a few minor changes, like down playing Mr. Lockwood's role and adding Emily Bronte's narration, it was true to the novel.
They really captured the pain and torment of her work. The 1939 version, though it had it's pluses, did not follow the book at all and didn't show how truly cruel these characters could be. Great movie!
