Review of Wrong Turn (2003) by Mark W — 01 May 2011
We have seen it all before. Some curious city slickers decide to take an abandoned dirt road off the crowded main highway (shortcuts are evil by the way. It means you're lazy and have no patience) and discover the home of cannibalistic mountain men disfigured (and grotesque in looks and mannerisms) from generations of inbreeding. The group of people is then chased through the woods, trying to get away as the in-bred freaks hunt them down in hope of getting another meal. Needless to say, much slicing and dicing occurs before this one is over.
There's also a decent amount of gore, mostly implied, but enough to make horror fans smile. So if you're a Eliza Dushku fan doing a late night slasher this movie will fit in nicely.
