Review of Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (2007) by Meng S — 13 Nov 2008
God what a pile of shit. The first Wrong turn was actually not bad for a survival horror film. This was just ridiculous. Based around the premise of what appears to be the most BORING reality show ever conceieved, stupid people do stupid things and end yp getting butchered by a load of cannibals living in the woods.
And it's mostly shot in the day time because they clearly neeeded to save money on expensive night shoots. The gore is excessive and gross, there's not a single scare or any sense of atmosphere and absolutely no plot.
Its hilarious seeing these people take it all so seriously - people, it's a straight to DVD horror flick hanging off the coattails of much more superior original! the ONLY thing this has going for it is the way it was genuinely surprising who died and when - it doesn't stick to gener cliches in that respect and that at least kept you a bit on your toes.
But for the love of God don't think that's any reason to waste your time with this piece of shit.
