Review of Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (2007) by Roxanne R — 12 May 2011
I am surprised a high percentage of critics liked this sequel and gave it good reviews!! I found it to be way more violent, bloodier, scarier and too tense than the third one..perhaps I am not part of the intended audience target but I admit the director and cast met their goal of making the viewers tense, ill at ease and wishing you will never be in that predicament.
On this sequel we have a group of contestants vying for top stop in a survival reality show. The showâ(TM)s premise is that six survivors have to live through five days in a post-apocalyptic world, given only their wits to survive, for a shot at $100,000.
Unknown to the cast and crew of the show is that these particular West Virginia woodlands are populated with a family of inbred mutant cannibals. Dangerous, savage creatures that love to hunt, kill and chop bodies for consumption.
.Henry Rollins plays Retired Marine Sergeant Dale Murphy, the showâ(TM)s host and truly a man who could survive the elements if he has to. Believe me, during the film he tries to! I have to say this movie was more than I could endure in a horror flick.
I don't ever wish to watch it again and you must be a die hard horror fan to give this more than 3 stars..I will pass on the first one, had enough of this franchise..
