Review of Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (2007) by Jay A — 25 Feb 2013
Possibly my least fave out of the series, this sequel throws in reality tv (something I generally do not care for) as an attempt to make it different. The gore is increased slightly but is filled with a lot of CG so I'm not exactly going to say it's an improvement.
The actors are all really really lame. Whether it be because of their characters or because they just aren't very good, the film is filled with them and not even the great Henry Rollins can save the day.
I'm still on the fence about the reality tv/cameras in the woods. Part of me is happy that they didn't do more first person perspective from the cameras but another part of me thinks that perhaps it might have justified the rest of the lame things going on in this film.
The film looks too clean. While I didn't mind it too much in the first picture... here it just makes the movie look cheap.
