Review of Wrong Side of Town (2010) by Samuel T — 09 Nov 2012
What a film! This is an action film starring professional wrestlers who are Rob Van Dam, Dave Batista and Nelson Frazier (Viscera). A new neighbor moves in next to Robert Kalkinowski (Rob Van Dam) who asks him to come to he nightclub for the evening with him family. While they are there Rob's wife goes to the toilet and is gone for a while. Rob gets worried and goes to look for her. he hears her screams and finds her being molested! Rob throws the man off of his wife, the abuser runs towards Rob with a knife, trips and stabs himself. Rob's neighbor walks in and warns Rob that the man who died is Ethan, the brother of the nightclub owner and mobster, Seth! Seth puts a bounty on Rob and thugs from downtown all go hunting for him. Rob later gets some help from Big Ronny (Dave Batista) and all hell breaks lose.
This films is of a relatively low budget but is pure, masculine entertainment. The fight scenes are choreographed by the talented martial artist, Marrese Crump, who even appears in the film having a fight with Big Ronny. You will enjoy this more if you are a pro wrestling fan but if you aren't you may still find it a lot of fun.
Thanks for reading.
