Review of Wrong Cops (2013) by Ian W — 13 May 2014
The odd thing about Quentin Dupieux's latest film is that it somehow manages to hold interest while never managing to amount to much of anything. In the end, it feels like a sort of limp re-tread of RENO 911 minus the laughs.
This time out Dupieux more or less abandons his previously creative absurdism and surrealist art to delve into transgressively debauched attempts at humor. It fails, but I was not really bored.
