Review of Wristcutters: A Love Story (2007) by Tommy N — 12 May 2009
I read some really bad reviews for this film but thought I'd give it a go anyway, and I'm glad I did.
The film revolves around suicide victims in limbo, which sounds fairly depressing, but it was actually really sweet. I can't say there is an amazing storyline, and there are no special effects (apart from the brilliant black hole under the car seat), but the actors all played the slightly odd characters with real sensitivity, so it didn't really matter. I must admit a great cameo by Tom Waits, and the ever stunning Shannyn Sossamon more than made up for the slightly disappointing Hollywood ending.
