Review of Wristcutters: A Love Story (2007) by Jill . — 21 May 2009
I had never heard about this movie, which was a bit weird taking in considderation that it stares a lot of cool supporting- and main actors/actresses. After having committed suicide Patrick Fugit (The young reporter dude from Almost Famous) gets send to a weird dessert looking world filled with people who have committed suicide in real life. Patrick Fugit teams up with a friend and together they begin a search for Fugit's girlfriend from his real life, who also has committed suicide after his own death.
The movie a weird version of a road movie. Because of the fact that they're all dead the road doesn't really give them any freedo and niether do they escape from anything really. Instead it's filled with great casual small talk and exentric characters - One of those Tom Waits, who plays a pretty awesome character. The soundtrack is pretty great aswell.
