Review of Wristcutters: A Love Story (2007) by Jim W — 27 May 2009
Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous) plays a young man who recently killed himself, he finds himself somewhere a lot like home. Except it's only full of people that killed themselves. He finds that his ex-girlfriend is there as well and is off on a road trip to find her. Along for the ride is a Russian rock star and a hitchhiker (Shannyn Sossamon). She claims she doesn't belong there and is looking for a way out.
I really enjoyed this movie because it was perfectly odd for me and I love odd. I liked how whatever falls under the car seat of the car they are in is never seen again. I also liked the performances by Fugut and Sossamon. They have chemistry and I'd like to see them in more movies. I don't know why this site has Jake Busey down first because he only has one scene and it's small.
