Review of Wristcutters: A Love Story (2007) by Elliot M — 26 Nov 2010
Just after I graduated from high school, I watched "Almost Famous", and it blew my mind to see the world differently. Flash forward 5 years, another film with Patrick Fugit changed how I see the world.
If the ending was the same as the novel, I would have cried a bit, and get on with my life like nothing's ever happened, but because of the hint of hope in the final 10 seconds, it became one of my favorite.
I don't say I've never thought about suicide, but this film slightly change your point of view. It doesn't judge your choice. It just tells you there's still hope. And that's the reason I like it more than the original short story.
