Review of Wristcutters: A Love Story (2007) by Aidan H — 29 Jan 2011
Odd and unsatisfying post-suicide quest that meanders bleakly along, introducing each of its bland characters with their flashbacked 'offing'. Shot in depressingly washed-out hues, it lost my interest about 15 minutes in, after which its stultifying dialogue and funereal pace had me reaching for the razor myself.
While its inde quirkiness might appeal to disaffected teens, W:ALS lack of depth and unsympathetic characters will have limited appeal elsewhere. Slack.
