Review of Wrecked (2010) by Jesse O — 21 Jan 2012
While I have to give props to the movie for trying something different and dealing with the character's psychological issues and how he deals with the guilt of something he THINKS he did, but the movie doesn't really amount to much in the end.
As is typical, they wait until the last act of the movie to reveal everything and getting there is kind of a chore. I'm sure the movie must have been physically taxing for Adrian Brody, but he's not given much to do, but he tries his best and I commend him for that.
Visually, that's where the movie's strongest. There's a creepy yet beautiful feel to this forest. But again, this movie has some good ideas, but it doesn't do much with them.
