Review of Wreck-It Ralph (2012) by Valerie P — 16 Oct 2013
I find it hard to imagine how anyone could not like this fun family film. As always, Disney hones in on the exact ingredients for a perfect blend of child-friendly plot-line and adult interest.
Anyone who loves video games, especially those that can remember the golden arcade era that brought us Pac-Man, Q-Bert, and Centipede, will be amused by this tale of a villain who longs to be a hero.
Wreck-It Ralph inhabits the video game world behind the scenes of the arcade. Inside the electronic workings of each machine, the characters live their adventures over and over. A celebration for Ralph's competition, Fix-it Felix, sparks Ralph's resolve to earn himself a trophy by playing in another game.
With some great characters, including the irrepressible Vanellope, this film is a riot of colorful adventure with a fast-paced story.
Can't wait to own this one on DVD!
